Our Story

In 2008 Dr. Napier, an Army Medic at the time, was deployed to Afghanistan.

A soldier in his battalion sustained critical wounds from a suicide bomber, and his injuries prevented him from breathing. Medics unsuccessfully attempted to place a breathing tube due to a large amount of blood that blocked their view. The soldier later succumbed to his wounds in the field of battle.

In honor of this fallen soldier, Dr. Napier began to work tirelessly over the course of his medical career to invent a device that would change the outcome of this scenario in the future.

IntuBlade was founded by a former Army Medic who witnessed the preventable death of a soldier due to a faulty laryngoscope design.

Determined to find a solution, Dr. Napier spent the next decade working on prototypes and eventually created IntuBlade, a medical device with a patented lens clearing technology that ensures rapid and successful intubations every use.

IntuBlade aims to eliminate complications and save lives by reducing the number of unnecessary infections, brain damage, and deaths caused by intubation procedures, which currently cost a collective $9 billion annually.

We believe IntuBlade is the future of intubations.
